Configuring Private Comment Background

Overview

The Private Comment Background feature in BOSSDesk allows users to customize the visual appearance of private comments within a ticket or a problem. This customization helps to differentiate internal communication from public responses.

How to Configure Private Comment Background?

To customize the private comment background on tickets or problems, follow the steps below.

Navigate to Settings > Incident Management > General Settings.

The Helpdesk Settings page is displayed.

Navigate to the Private Comment background dropdown list and select the desired background setting. Then, click Save.

The background setting for private comments is successfully configured.

How to View Private Comments?

To view private comments and their background distinction on a ticket or a problem, please follow the steps below.

Note: The following example illustrates how to view private comments for a ticket. You can follow similar steps to view private comments for a problem by navigating to Tickets > Problems.

Navigate to Tickets.

Click the ticket for which you wish to view the private comments.

The selected ticket page, showing all associated comments, is displayed.

In the above example, you can clearly see the distinction between private and public comments. The private comment is highlighted by its customized background color.
