Task Types
Overview
The Task Types section under Incident Management settings allows you to manage categories to classify and organize tasks within incidents or service requests, enabling appropriate tracking of tasks.
Key Features
- Defining specific task types allows you to assign tasks to specific teams or individuals based on the type.
- Creating task types allows you to link them to predefined workflows for efficient processing.
- Based on the task types, you can set priorities and due dates and track tasks.
How to Add a Task Type?
To add a task type, follow the steps below.
Navigate to Settings > Incident Management > Task Types.
The Task Types page is displayed.
Click the New Task Type icon. The New Task Type page is displayed.
Enter the task type name in the Name field. Then, click Save.
The new task type is added successfully.
Note: The Edit and Delete icons appear when you hover over a task type. Click the corresponding icon in the desired task type row to update or delete, and confirm your action.
