Configure Custom Fields
Overview
The Custom Fields section allows you to define fields to capture specific information relevant to your business processes. These fields can be applied across multiple sections as needed.

- Custom fields support various data types, including single-line or multiline text, links, dropdowns, checkboxes, dates, and more.
- Fields can be set as mandatory or optional based on workflow needs.
- Custom field data can be synchronized from Active Directory.
- Custom fields can be used to search, filter, export, and analyze data as needed.
How to Add a Custom User Field?
You can add custom fields to capture user information specific to your organization, not captured by default fields.
Navigate to Settings > General > Custom Fields.
The Custom Fields > User page is displayed.
Click the New Field icon. The New Field dropdown list is displayed.
Click New User Field. The New User Field page is displayed.
Enter or select the required values in the field. Please refer to the following table for field names and their descriptions.
Note: All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

Click Save. The user field is added successfully.
Note: The Edit and Delete icons appear when you hover over a custom field. Click the corresponding icon in the desired custom field row to update or delete and confirm your action.
How to Add a Custom IT Asset Field?
You can add a custom IT asset field to capture specific details about assets unique to your organization.
On the Custom Fields page, click the New Field icon.
The New Field dropdown list is displayed.
Click New IT Asset Field. The New IT Asset Field page is displayed.
Enter or select the required values in the field. Please refer to the following table for field names and their descriptions.
Note: All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

How to Add Custom Contract Field?
You can add a custom contract field to personalize the contract management specific to your organization’s needs.
On the Custom Fields page, click the New Field icon.
The New Field dropdown list is displayed.
Click New Contract Field. The New Contract Field page is displayed.
Enter or select the required values in the field. Please refer to the following table for field names and their descriptions.

How to Add a Custom Vendor Field?
You can add a custom vendor field to track and manage specific vendor-related information within your organization.
On the Custom Fields page, click the New Field icon.
The New Field dropdown list is displayed.
Click New Vendor Field. The New Vendor Field page is displayed.
Enter or select the required values in the field. Please refer to the following table for field names and their descriptions.

You can add a custom ticket field to capture specific information relevant to your workflow.
On the Custom Fields page, click the New Field icon.

How to Add a Custom Problem Field?
You can add a custom problem field to capture unique details to support users based on an issue.
On the Custom Fields page, click the New Field icon.
The New Field dropdown list is displayed.
Click New Problem Field. The New Problem Field page is displayed.
Enter or select the required values in the field. Please refer to the following table for field names and their descriptions.

You can add custom fields to capture change information, improve workflows, automate notifications, and classify changes for better management and compliance.
On the Custom Fields page, click the New Field icon.
The New Field dropdown list is displayed.
Click New Change Field. The New Change Field page is displayed.
Enter or select the required values in the field. Please refer to the following table for field names and their descriptions.
