Manufacturers
Overview
The Manufacturers section within the Assets Management settings allows you to manage and standardize manufacturer details for IT assets, allowing you to effectively organize, report, and manage IT and non-IT assets.

- The Manufacturers section lets you add, edit, or delete manufacturers to ensure consistency in manufacturer names for accurate reporting.
- You can quickly locate manufacturers using the Search feature.
- This section lets you add the manufacturer’s URL to ensure accurate product information and updates.
How to Add a Manufacturer?
To add a manufacturer, follow the steps below.
Navigate to Settings > Assets Management > Manufacturers.
The Manufacturers page is displayed.
Click the New Manufacturer icon. The New Manufacturer page is displayed.
Note: All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

Support URL | Web link of the manufacturer's support team |
Address | Physical location of the manufacturer |
Contact Information | Primary contact details of the manufacturer consisting of the following information |
- Name | Name of the contact person representing the manufacturer |
Manufacturer’s contact email address for inquiries or support | |
- Phone | Manufacturer’s contact phone number for inquiries or support |
- Mobile | Manufacturer’s contact person’s mobile number for direct inquiries or support |
- Fax | Fax number for sending documents to the manufacturer |
Notes | Field for additional comments or remarks about the manufacturer |
Click Save.
The manufacturer is added.
Note: The Edit and Delete icons appear when you hover over a manufacturer row. Click the corresponding icon in the desired row to update or delete, and confirm your action.
How to Merge Manufacturers?
You can merge manufacturers' information to eliminate duplicate data, ensuring a single, unified manufacturer entry and improving searchability.
On the Manufacturers page, check the box(es) corresponding to the manufacturer(s) you wish to merge.
The Merge icon is enabled.
Click the Merge icon. The Merge Manufacturers dialog is displayed.
Enter the name for the merged manufacturer data in the Merged name field and click Save Changes.
Note: Leave the field blank if you don't wish to change the name for the merged manufacturer data.
The manufacturer detail is updated successfully.
How to Search for a Manufacturer?
To search for a manufacturer to quickly locate and manage asset details, follow the steps below.
On the Manufacturers page is displayed, enter the name of the manufacturer in the Search textbox and click Go!
The manufacturers matching the filter criteria are displayed.
Note: To remove the applied filters, click Clear search corresponding to the Search field.
How to Set Up Page Settings?
You can set the number of rows displayed on the Manufacturers page.
On the Manufacturers page, click the Settings icon.
The Settings panel is displayed.
Select the number of rows you wish to display on the page from the Rows per page dropdown list.
The page settings are applied.
